Travel in the Capital Region
Proximity to I-87 is an important consideration for many commuters. Also known as the NYS Thruway as it approaches the Capital Region, the Northway is centrally located and is the major north/south artery. It starts in Greene County and continues north, passing through Albany (where it intersects I-90), Saratoga and Warren counties. For commuters traveling east to west, I-90 is the major artery, connecting Montgomery and Schenectady counties with Albany, Rensselaer and Columbia counties before entering Massachusetts, where it becomes the Mass Pike. Schoharie County is linked to Albany by I-88. The only counties without a major thoroughfare are Fulton and Washington. This Collection features properties along the I-87 corridor north of Albany. We've chosen cities that are close to thruway entrances and exits, or close to main roads that feed into I-87.
